Installation

To install Matlab, you first need to have the activation key. You will find this at http://www.ekstranet.its.aau.dk/software/mathworks/download-mathworks/ (you will need to log in). When you have logged in, press the "Students" link. Save the document.

Afterwards you need a MathWorks account that must have the activation key attached. You do this by following the steps below. There is also support available at http://www.ekstranet.its.aau.dk/software/mathworks/mathworks-support/ that you can use if you get problems during the steps below.

1. Go to www.mathworks.com/
2. Click "Create Account" (top right corner)
3. Fill in the required information - you must use your "@student.aau.dk" email address (important!)
4. Under the question "How will you use MathWorks software?" you must choose "Academic use"
5. Next page on customization is optional
6. You will recieve an email that you must confirm
7. When you log in at www.mathworks.com/, click "My account" at the op right corner
8. Choose "Associate now"
9. Choose "Activation key" and use the one you found earlier

Then Matlab can be installed as described here: http://www.ekstranet.its.aau.dk/software/mathworks/mathworks-support/.

Note that you only need to install "Matlab" and "Symbolic Math Toolbox".
